If ever two were one, then surely we;
If ever man were loved by wife, than thee;
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
~Anne Bradstreet, 1678
*I cannot take credit for finding this sweet quote; I discovered it within the pages of my latest read Feminine Appeal: Seven Virtures of a Godly Wife and Mother by Carolyn Mahaney in her acknowledgments to her husband of thirty years. While a wife of only seven years, I could not agree more with such a tender and complete sentiment for my own man.
