The Grand Tour - Don't Blink Or You'll Miss It!

OUR SHAKER HEIGHTS RESIDENCE

MY HUMBLE KITCHEN
(THE ENTIRE APARTMENT WAS RENOVATED PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL.  I HAVE BEEN ENJOYING BREAKING IN ALL OF OUR NEW APPLIANCES.)

BREAKFAST BAR
(THE SOLE PICTURE IS A PIECE OF ART WORK THE CHILDREN AND I COMPLETED TOGETHER DURING OUR LAST WEEK IN MADISON.)

BADGER PRIDE IN BUCKEYE TERRITORY

THE INFAMOUS WASHER/DRYER UNIT.

THE UNEXPECTED BUILT-INS HOSTING OUR GRAND TELEVISION.
(AFTER SEEING OUR MODEST T.V. PERCHED UPON THIS LARGE UNIT, I THINK MY HUSBAND'S DESIRE FOR A SERIOUS UP GRADE WENT THROUGH THE ROOF.)

OUR NEW SOFA, A WELCOMED AND COMFY ADDITION.

GUEST BATH/CHILDREN'S BATHROOM

THE LITTLE LADY'S ROOM

BUSTLING HUB FOR ALL CHAOTIC ACTIVITY AND CREATIVE PLAY

IT IS THE SECOND LARGEST SPACE IN THE APARTMENT.

MASTER BATH
(SIZE - DOWNGRADE. SHOWER - UPGRADE.)

MASTER "SUITE" & THE LITTLE MAN'S BED
(NOTICE WINDOW FANS.  OUR PLACE HAS ONE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT.  IT IS LOCATED IN THE FAR CORNER OF OUR LIVING ROOM, MAKING FOR A VERY TOASTY BEDROOM.  WE ARE MANAGING TO KEEP COOL WITH THE WINDOW UNIT, STANDING OSCILLATING FAN AND CEILING FAN.)

DINING ROOM
(THE SMALL PIECE OF ARTWORK WAS PURCHASED BY A LOCAL MADISON ARTIST DURING ONE OF OUR LAST VISITS TO THE FARMER'S MARKET.  IT IS A PAINTING OF THE MONONA TERRACE.)

THE "OFFICE" AND HOME TO SOLO AIR CONDITIONER.
(IF YOU WERE A FLY ON THE WALL, YOU MIGHT FIND ME WRAPPED IN A BLANKET TYPING.)

HOME SWEET HOME.

  1. I'm so glad to see your new home! It's beautiful, so 'you'. I am totally blown away that you are completely moved in, unpacked, set up and decorated already! But of course, that is so 'you' as well. Always organized, with a plan that has bend and give to accommodate your family's needs, but ready for anything. To be ready for your new chapter to begin so quickly speaks volumes about the amount of thought and preparedness you put into the move and your new apartment home prior to driving across the midwest. I am praying for every room in your new home, for the memories that will be made in each, and for the love that will grow as you bind closer together as a family in a new town. And of course, a special prayer goes out to that lone AC unit (dear lord, make it multiply it's cooling abilities and do not let it break!). Lots of love from Wheaton... XOXO

  2. ps. any chance you'll give us a closer look at your personal work of art in the kitchen!? I tried to zoom in and can't get a good view of it! So curious... (I also zoomed in on your bathroom - GIRL, I would make a mess of that place! Where are you keeping your things necessary to get ready in the morning!? This made me feel very high maintenance. Ha!)

  3. Thanks for the tour, Bec! Now I can picture you guys in your new abode. It is really nice--I agree with Ashley--super impressive that you already have made it look like "home." Still working on that in my house! hahaha!
