IT FELT GOOD TO RISE THURSDAY MORNING KNOWING WE HAD MINIMAL WORK TO DO. WE GRABBED AN EARLY STARBUCKS AND RAN A FEW LAST ERRANDS BEFORE LOCKING UP OUR DOORS FOR THE LAST TIME.
PACKED AND READY TO GO...
IN MY SENTIMENTAL STATE, I TOOK A FEW LAST SHOTS OF OUR PEACEFUL VIEW, AND OF OUR HOME.
GOTTA HAND IT TO THIS GUY, FOR KEEPING ME LAUGHING AND SMILING DURING AN EMOTIONAL TIME.
(OUR LAST PIC ON STARR GRASS DRIVE.)
WE HAD A BRIEF FINANCIAL MEETING PLANNED LATE MORNING, AND GRABBED LUNCH AT HO HUT. IN AN EFFORT TO ESCAPE MY FEELINGS OF SADNESS OVER THE MOVE, MY MAN TREATED ME TO POPCORN AND A MOVIE. WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED X-MEN THE PREQUEL, FOLLOWED BY A FINAL TRIP TO MONROE STREET TO "BLOW SOME CASH," IN MY HUSBAND'S WORDS. I WAS EXCITED TO PICK OUT TWO NEW OVEN MITTS FROM A FAVORITE LOCAL SHOP TO BRING TO CLEVELAND. AFTER PERUSING SEVERAL PATTERNS, I ENDED UP CHOOSING A COW PRINT. IT JUST SEEMED LIKE THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
WE WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO SPENDING OUR FINAL NIGHT IN MADISON WITH GOOD FRIENDS, DREW AND MICHELLE. WE DINED AT ONE MY FAVORITE MADISON RESTAURANTS, "THE OLD FASHION" RIGHT OFF THE SQUARE. WE GORGED OURSELVES ON THEIR AMAZING CHEESE CURDS, BURGERS AND FRIES. I COULD NOT HAVE HAD A BETTER SEND-OFF MEAL. WE KEPT THE GOOD TIMES ROLLING, AND HEADED TO MICHAEL'S FROZEN CUSTARD FOR DESSERT. THE STOMACH ACHE WE HAD POST-SUNDAES WAS WORTH IT. I WILL MISS INDULGING IN THEIR PEA CAN CARMEL DRIZZLE SUNDAE. WE CRASHED AT DREW AND MICHELLE'S THAT NIGHT. WE WILL MISS THEIR SWEET COMPANY, AND THE LAUGH-OUT-LOUD MOMENTS WE SHARED WITH THEM.
