WHEN WE WOKE WEDNESDAY, WE WERE HOPEFUL TO HAVE THE AFTERNOON OFF FROM PACKING; HOWEVER, AS WE SET OUR EYES ON OUR STORAGE UNIT IT BECAME CLEAR THAT WE WOULD NOT IN FACT HAVE ANY RESPITE FROM U-HAUL BOXES, PACKING TAPE, BROOMS, AND DUST PANS. AND, SO WE BEGAN TO SORT THROUGH ALL OF OUR STORAGE ITEMS CREATING FOUR PILES: 1) MILWAUKEE STORAGE 2) KEEP 3) DONATE 4) TBD (BASED ON REMAINING SPACE IN U-HAUL TRUCK).
OUR FORMER LIVING ROOM BECAME THE "KEEP" PILE
IT ALSO BECAME THE "MASTER SUITE" COMPLETE WITH DELUXE AIR MATTRESS. COZY.
AS I WALKED THROUGH EACH ROOM GIVING THEM A FINAL ONCE OVER, I COULD NOT HELP BUT CAPTURE A FEW FINAL SNAPSHOTS.
THE VIEW FROM THE LITTLE LADY'S ROOM. FROM THIS WINDOW I CHECKED THE WEATHER EACH MORNING WHILE CHANGING THE FIRST DIAPERS OF THE DAY.
THE LITTLE LADY'S CLOSET.
THIS WAS ONE OF THE ROOMS JEFF AND I PAINTED OURSELVES UPON MOVING IN. WHAT SWEET MEMORIES, AS WE SETTLED INTO OUR "GRAND" HOME.
I MANAGED TO SLIP OUT IN THE AFTERNOON FOR A FINAL HAIR CUT WITH MY STYLIST, AND THEN PICKED UP JEFF FOR LUNCH AT NEW SEOUL KOREAN RESTAURANT. THAT RESTAURANT HOLDS A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART AS IT WAS WERE WE DINED AFTER FINDING OUT WE WERE EXPECTING A BABY GIRL, AND ALSO THE PLACE WHERE I BROKE THE NEWS THAT WE WERE EXPECTING A SECOND TIME. IF WE HAPPEN TO RETURN TO MADISON, YOU HAD BETTER BELIEVE IT WILL BE ONE OF THE FIRST PLACES WE EAT AT.
WEDNESDAY EVENING A SECOND GROUP OF FRIENDS STOPPED BY TO HELP PACK; HOWEVER, THERE WAS LITTLE WORK TO BE DONE. INSTEAD, WE ENJOYED ROSATTI'S PIZZA, BEERS, AND A FEW LAST LAUGHS. AS A PARTING GIFT WE TREATED OUR WORKERS TO THE REMAINS OF OUR STORAGE PILES. IT BROUGHT ME GREAT SATISFACTION TO WATCH THEM EACH WALK AWAY WITH A TOKEN FROM OUR MADISON LIFE. ONE MAN'S JUNK IS ANOTHER MAN'S TREASURE.
JEFF AND I PRACTICALLY FELL INTO BED THAT NIGHT. EXHAUSTED WE COZIED OURSELVES UNDER OUR DOWN COMFORTER AND WATCHED AN ON DEMAND SHOW ON THE ipad. IT FELT LIKE GLAMORIZED CAMPING, AND IT WAS PERFECT.
