we might just be crazy

One of our first priorities upon returning to Wisconsin was to reunite with the children's godparents.  Not only are the Bellitos godparents to the little lady and the Livingstons godparents to the little man, they are among our closest friends.  Being separated by several states for eighteen months was a bit of a buzz kill, so when the Bellitos offered up their Wauconda home for our celebratory reunion we were quick to get something on the calendar.

January 5th we made the drive to 'Conda ready to introduce the littlest to friends and share in a belated Christmas celebration.  Between the three couples we have eight children with one on the way, (no, we are not yet expecting) so you can imagine the volume, level of excitement, and potential chaos we experience when we get the gang together.  And, the day did not disappoint.  It was the perfect blend of noise, tears, giggles, pouts, tattletaling, jumping, body checking, tickling, eating, and conversing.  Having been a part of each one of these children's lives from their birth, it was amazing to see their growth in person, observe maturing personalities, eavesdrop on conversations, and share in their laughter. Obviously, we all enjoy the madness as talk continues of having more children.  Oy.

God bless her, she slept through it all.

And, a surprise birthday celebration for me.  How it blessed my heart to hear seven little voices singing, "Happy Birthday" while gazing up at me.
