up from arkansas

Sometimes in life you meet someone and instantly click.  A few years back, during our time in Madison, I met such a person.  While she was from the south, and I from the Midwest, we shared many of the same interests, values, and goals for our family.  Over the past six years our friendship has grown and we have had the privilege of sharing in all of life's joys - vacations, pregnancies, baby showers, births, birthdays, and many moments in between.

In January, we had the pleasure of hosting my sweet southern friend, Adriana and her daughter, Annalise, for a weekend of Midwestern fun.  A few highlights of the weekend were our girl's trip to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum, shopping at Mayfair Mall, watching the little man's growing affection for Annalise, sharing meals together around the kitchen island, and the girl's choreographed dance performance set to the (regrettably) catchy music of Justin Bieber.

How sweet it is to watch our childrens' friendship blossom and grow.
