Now that we have a little more space (OK...a lot more space), we have enjoyed entertaining family and friends in our home. Earlier in the month we hosted the Lecocqs for an overnight visit. We have always had a swell time with friends, Mark and Maria; however, since the arrival of their little gal, Rosie, our time together is even more meaningful. Our littles have become fast friends with sweet Rosanna, and it is no wonder as she is about as pleasant as babies come, always smiling and chatting. Maria and I have identified many similarities between the little lady and Rosie, which basically means they will be running the world in a matter of a few short years. We are pleased that the littlest has such wonderful role models to look up to. And, we couldn't help but notice the way Rosie lit up each time the little man walked into the room, perhaps a special relationship is brewing there, too.
When we are together we enjoy cooking and eating in, discussing a variety of topics, admiring our children, listening to music and settling down for the evening with a nice glass of wine while our little ones sleep. This visit, the little lady enjoyed showing off her new ballet moves as Maria sat down to the piano filling our home with beautiful sonatas, one of my favorite memories to date in our new home.
It is a great feeling to know that such dear friends are now only an hour away.
