Wednesday we were able to get out of the house on the early side (thank you, Junebug) and made a brief stop at Target before returning our last stack of books at the library. We happen to have access to so many wonderful local libraries. Recently, we have been favoring the Beachwood library with its newly renovated children's section. When the sun is shining it fills the room with a comforting glow that causes the little lady to believe the "sun is setting." While the littlest slumbered, we had fun creating towers and putting on puppet shows. The little lady also saddled up to her favorite computer to play "librarian."
Later in the day, the littlest celebrated turning one month old by sweetly dozing on the couch next to me. I honestly cannot believe an entire month has gone by. We are so blessed by her presence in our household; she is the perfect addition to our wild crew.
After school we turned on our favorite Christmas tunes and decorated our Christmas tree. No pine needles for us this year; green foam will have to do! We have traded in sparkling lights for towers of U-Haul boxes. Nevertheless, the kids and I had a wonderful time trimming our tree. The best part of having a foam tree, I don't have to worry about one of our sweet ones knocking it over!
Thankfully, the man of steel was able to reach the top of our tree.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...kind of.
