Pepper Pike Park

THE OTHER DAY WHILE OUT TO PLAY, I REALIZED WHAT A UNIQUE SEASON OF LIFE WE ARE CURRENTLY IN.  IT IS A SEASON THAT WILL SOON FADE, JUST AS THE LONG AND LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER WILL SOON TURN TO THE CRISP, PRODUCTIVE DAYS OF FALL.

THIS SEASON OF LIFE ALLOWS US THE FREEDOM TO COME AND GO AS WE PLEASE, PLAN SPONTANEOUS TRIPS TO THE PARK, GROCERY SHOP AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THOSE HOURS DEDICATED TO NAP TIME, FOR WE NEVER MESS WITH THOSE), LINGER IN OUR PJs, PLAY LONG, LOUNGE OFTEN, EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY FROM MORNING TIL NIGHT.

IT IS A SEASON FILLED WITH LAUGHTER, LOUD SOUNDS, HYSTERICAL FITS, CROCODILE TEARS, SQUEALS, TENDER KISSES, ACTIVE HANDS, BUSY BODIES, BLOSSOMING VOCABULARIES, STORY TELLING, BLOCK BUILDING, TOSSED TOYS, LITTLE PILES, GRUBBY HANDS, DIRTY FEET, TINY FINGERS GRASPING, PLAYFUL SMILES, SAGGING DIAPERS, STAINED UNDERWEAR, SHOUTS, WHISPERS, SONGS AND DANCING.

IT IS A PRECIOUS TIME.  A TIME TO HOLD DEAR.

AND, SO EACH DAY I WILL RISE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF NEW DISCOVERIES (THROUGH THEIR EYES),  TO THE PROMISE OF ADVENTURE (FOR THEY ALWAYS FIND IT), AND ATTEMPT TO LIVE FULLY IN EACH MOMENT (BECAUSE THEY ARE QUICKLY PASSING).
