Countdown to Cleveland - Day 1

IT'S OFFICIAL.  WE CLOSE ON OUR HOME IN 24 DAYS AND MAKE THE LONG DRIVE TO SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO IN 25 DAYS (FOR JEFF) AND 27 (FOR THE KIDS AND I).

I HAVE BECOME QUITE SENTIMENTAL IN MY "OLD AGE" AND FEEL IT NECESSARY TO DOCUMENT OUR FINAL DAYS IN MADISON, WISCONSIN.  THEREFORE, EACH DAY I WILL DEDICATE A POST TO THE DAY'S ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING THE MUNDANE, EXCITING, HAPPY, ADVENTUROUS, REFLECTIVE AND TEAR-FILLED MOMENTS THAT MAKE UP OUR LAST DAYS.

JUNE 1, 2011

FITTING THAT THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH (AND MY FIRST "COUNTDOWN" POST) WOULD INCLUDE A TRIP TO SUPER TARGET, A TRIP THE KIDS AND I MAKE OFTEN AND HAVE COME TO ENJOY SO MUCH.  I WONDER IF OUR NEW COMMUNITY WILL HAVE SUCH A JEWEL OF A MEGA STORE FOR THE KIDS AND I TO PERUSE AND BLOW CASH IN.

OUR VIEW ON THE WAY TO MECCA.

JEFF AND I HAVE COME TO APPRECIATE AND LOVE THE RURAL SETTING WE LIVE IN.  THAT AND THE FACT THAT WE ARE ONLY A HOP, SKIP AND A CAR RIDE AWAY FROM CITY LIVING, WHICH INCLUDES THREE DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT TARGETS WITHIN A 10 MINUTE DRIVE FROM OUR HOUSE.

THANK YOU, FITCHBURG SUPER TARGET, FOR FILLING OUR FRIDGE WITH GROCERIES, KEEPING OUR SHELVES STOCKED AND FOR BRINGING A SMILE TO MY CHILDREN'S FACES WITH YOUR BRIGHT LIGHTS, RAD LOGO, CHEERFUL STAFF, AND FREE COOKIES.
YOU WILL BE MISSED.
