After a busy seven months, it felt good to hit the interstate bound for Elcho, WI. This year in particular I enjoyed watching each of our children's personalities come alive in the north woods. The little lady spent her days jumping off the dock, swimming in the lake, and planning dance parties in Uncle Bob's boat. When the little ones napped, she enjoyed soaking up the sun with the adults on the pontoon boat, and hit the pillow hard each evening spent from her activity-filled days. The little man never once made it into the water, but preferred to spend his days watching "beed boats" and go on the occasional boat ride. He eagerly picked up and examined each bug that crawled his way, and looked for every opportunity to roast marshmallows with his ol' man. The littlest savored the extra attention given to her by each family member, enjoyed afternoon dips in her red bucket, and anticipated cousin George's presence as he sniffed and licked his way into her heart. Each year I look forward to capturing our children in this beautifully scenic home away from home. They always prove to be some of my favorite pictures of the year.
